This article focuses on Internet hoaxes going on today and suggests ways parents should handle them with their children. Its transition flows nicely by starting with the Momo challenge and explaining the affects it has on children and parents. It then transitions to suggestions of what parents can do to protect their children. Throughout the article though it seems to have a calm voice with an extremely serious situation. Its sources and statistics that the article uses are from YouTube, Snopes, and an editor in chief of Common Sense Media all in which are professional sources around this topic.

I believe people should read and be aware of national news to a certain extent. Some of it may not effect someone personally but having common knowledge on a topic can never be too negative. In fact a person is more likely to be involved and aware of the world around them. I slack off a bit on this and hope to keep up with the news in the future. News changes all the time and you never know when the national news could affect you.

I found this article to be important because the government needs Trump to compromise with his wall. If he does not sign this deal then there is a likely chance that Trump will shut the government down again which no one wants to happen again. 2. https://www.nytimes.com/video/us/100000006355610/snow-storm-weather-us.html This article discusses the effects of the harsh winters that have hit the U.S. Climate change and global warming is really affecting the world right now. 3. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/02/12/us/california-police-records.html?action=click&module=Well&pgtype=Homepage§ion=US Gun violence is a major issue in the U.S. and to know there might be a new law to help prevent gun violence in California is a big deal. https://billingsgazette.com/news/state-and-regional/biologist-if-you-live-in-montana-your-neighbors-are-wolves/article_30360169-0845-54f0-9a11-723fa7f9970e.html This article is about living in Montana with wildlife and how people should deal with these wild animals. Especially animals such as wolves, bears and mountain lions. This article would be a reaction or maybe even a human interest story because it talks about living with these animals. Proximity, human interest, timeliness. Proximity for the location of where the article takes place. Human interest for someone who is interested in the animals and timeliness for the when the animals lurk around neighborhoods.
